Learn more about LIVESTRONG at the YMCA

Are you a cancer survivor, or do you know someone, who is struggling to regain their quality of life after cancer treatment? The YMCA of the Fox Cities has programs designed to help survivors embrace life after cancer by focusing not only on the disease but also on the whole person. Our programs, LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA and Stay Strong, are designed to help people move beyond cancer in spirit, mind and body.

LIVESTRONG at the YMCA

LIVESTRONG is a free, 12-week program offered to adult survivors of cancer. We aim to help you rebuild your strength and confidence after the challenging journey of cancer treatment. The LIVESTRONG program has transformed lives, rebuilt strength, endurance and flexibility, and provided a support group that goes beyond the classroom.

Stay Strong: A Continuation of LIVESTRONG

Stay Strong cancer survivor program at the Y.

Stay Strong is a 9-month program for LIVESTRONG graduates who wish to continue their healing journey and reclaim their health. Our qualified instructors will guide participants through physical activity sessions to help them achieve personal wellness goals. While enrolled in the Stay Strong program, survivors will receive all the benefits of a Y membership and may utilize the facility, participating in value-added or designated classes at no cost. However, to maintain their free membership, survivors must participate in one class per week and use a YMCA facility one additional time per week.

The benefits of the Stay Strong program include access to exercise classes, workout facilities, and all six YMCA facilities in the Fox Cities. Plus, you have the option to visit any Y location in the nation.
